I'm used to playing on 7-foots all the time and its pretty basic by now, i love playing on a 9-footer though, it makes it more enjoyable and fun especially ones with nylon felt or some sort of smooth fabric that makes the balls run ragged.

I like 7’ Bar tables. Because of my blurred vision, weak knees and aching back, they are easier to get around and play. Even if some play like on a ship during a storm.

It does not matter as long as there is nothing in the way.

We play on a 7 foot table on the southeast shoreline. Would love to see more pool halls in the area with 9 foot tables.

We currently play on 7 foot tables. I feel that those that play on 9 foot tables have a distinct advantage for 2 reasons. 1) they are used to playing on what is typically a truer surface with tighter pockets, so their accuracy is better and 2) it is a lot easier to transition from 9 down to 7 (going to BS and vegas) than the reverse.

I would be interested to see the % of teams that play on 9-footers in the league vs the % on 7-footers and how that translates to % qualifying for States/Vegas.

I feel that all tables have some advantages as well as disadvantages. 7' Tables are smaller but can seem more "cluttered" 9' Tables are bigger and more open but long shots can be a pain if you shoot on 7' tables. 8' Tables are a happy medium. Who can complain about 8'?

I have recently found that they are all good. I have played APA on mostly 9 ft tables as an 8 ball player.I own an 8 ft table. Now since My team made playoffs I am practiceing on a 7 ft table. The common denominater on all of them is and always will be... Cue control and ball speed..Poor vision Poor stroke Bad backs are all exagerated on the larger tables.Other than that....Its the same game..Playing on the larger tables you may want to have a better cue stick a better tip. After all.If your a shooter you dont go hunting out on the open range with a saturday night special. You bring the long range equipment and know how to use it ..Practice on them all

My home location is 9 footer and generally I prefer them. But I play a lot more now on the 7 footers and don't mind them, especially when I'm in a slump because it's easier to just make balls on those.

For the comment about this being an advantage, for the most part I would agree it can be and usually I play pretty well up at Big Shots, but the exception is the tables in Vegas. The tables out there played very fast and when your already trying to compensate for a smaller table and with no practice on them it was difficult to control the cue ball. Both my partner and I (doubles) were leaving each other terrible the first couple games each match. We eventually got booted out by another team who played on tables like that all the time. Advantage them.

I used to play a lot on 8' & 9' tables. It really improves your game to practice on a larger table. But the APA league in my area is all on taverns on 7' tables. I love to practice on a larger table when I can.
